Cancellation, refund and change terms.
Your confirmation timestamp and scheduled delivery time determine the window. These terms apply to golf carts, scooters and paddleboards and are incorporated into the Wavy Rental Agreement.

Rental payments refunded
Wavy refunds rental payments received, less only payment-processing costs actually retained by the processor and disclosed in the refund statement.
25% cancellation charge
Wavy retains 25% of the rental subtotal and refunds the remaining eligible rental payment. Approved date changes may avoid cancellation if fleet capacity remains available.
Rental charge is nonrefundable
The scheduled rental charge may be retained because the vehicle, inspection and delivery capacity were committed. Taxes or optional items not supplied are refunded when required.
Valid notice
How cancellation becomes effective
- Open My Trips and submit a cancellation request, or contact Wavy directly with the booking number.
- The effective time is when Wavy’s system receives an identifiable request—not when a draft is saved or a chargeback is opened.
- A pending change or cancellation does not alter the reservation until Wavy marks it approved.
- Wavy sends written status and, when money is returned or retained, an itemized refund statement.
A card dispute does not itself cancel delivery. Nothing here limits lawful cardholder or consumer-reporting rights.
Dates, delivery, duration and extensions
- Date, address or paddleboard-duration changes depend on inventory, staffing, safe access and approved route or launch plans.
- An extension is binding only after written approval and acceptance of the updated price.
- Moving to a higher-priced period requires the difference; a lower price is recalculated only when Wavy approves the change.
- A changed address outside the service area may be declined or treated under the original cancellation window.
Wavy cancellation or failure
- If Wavy cannot deliver confirmed equipment, the customer may accept a comparable substitute or receive a refund for service not supplied.
- If Wavy-caused failure materially prevents use and no timely substitute is accepted, Wavy provides a reasonable prorated refund or, when use never began, a full rental refund.
- No remedy requires a customer to drive, ride or paddle unsafe equipment.
- Refunds exclude consequential lodging, travel, activity or third-party costs except where law requires otherwise.
After delivery
Early return and unused time
Voluntary early return, discomfort with otherwise safe equipment, itinerary changes or loss of renter eligibility do not automatically create a refund. Wavy may approve a credit in writing, but silence is not approval.
No-show
Unavailable renter or denied access
If delivery cannot occur because the renter is unreachable, documents are incomplete, payment or authorization fails, or property access details are inaccurate, the less-than-24-hour rule applies unless Wavy agrees otherwise.
Unsafe weather or water
Stop first; resolve second
Weather alone does not automatically cancel. Stop riding in lightning, flooding, dangerous wind or poor visibility. A paddleboard must not launch or continue when tide, current, surf, wind, visibility, warnings or ability make return unsafe. If Wavy suspends use, prohibits launch or retrieves equipment for safety, unused time is reviewed under the company-interruption rule.
Force majeure
Events outside either party’s control
For evacuation orders, beach or launch closures, government action or comparable events that make performance illegal or impossible, Wavy may offer a date credit or refund unearned rental charges. Non-waivable law controls.
Nothing in this policy eliminates a cancellation, refund or notice right that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive. Georgia’s Attorney General explains that some face-to-face transactions away from a merchant’s regular place of business can carry a statutory cancellation right, while many entirely online or telephone transactions do not.
