Use this page before a trip and whenever something feels wrong. The short rule: protect people, stop using an unsafe vehicle and document what happened.
Sixty-second release check
- People
Correct driver, one rider per seat, restraints secure and children in required renter-supplied restraints.
- Vehicle
Tires appear sound; steering and brake feel normal; lights, mirrors and horn are present; nothing is loose.
- Route
The planned PTV streets are posted 25 mph or less and do not require an illegal state-road crossing.
- Conditions
Visibility, weather, traffic and driver condition support a safe trip.
Four decisions after an incident
Stabilize
Call emergency services when needed and prevent additional traffic exposure.
Report
Contact law enforcement when appropriate, then Wavy with location and safety status.
Document
Capture parties, witnesses, damage and report reference without admitting fault.
Wait
Do not resume driving until Wavy or authorities confirm the next safe action.
