The 30-day St. Simons golf-cart setup

A monthly rate is for one continuous 30-day stay

Wavy's published 30-day golf-cart rate is $1,995 throughout the year. The quote is for the entire four-seat cart, not per rider. Free delivery and pickup within the approved St. Simons service area remain included, and any date-specific holiday surcharge is clearly itemized before confirmation.

A date request still needs inventory and address validation. Before confirming, Wavy reviews the delivery route, parking instructions and access notes. If the property or route is not suitable for a PTV, Wavy will discuss the issue before confirmation rather than delivering into a problem.

Get explicit permission for the parking location

Ask the host, hotel, property manager or HOA whether a golf cart may be parked at the address for the full stay. The location must be off sidewalks, shared-use paths, landscaped areas, fire lanes and accessible aisles. Confirm gate procedures and whether the cart must be moved for landscaping, trash collection or other service.

The Yamaha is gasoline powered, so it does not need a charging outlet. That avoids extension-cord and charging logistics, but it does not make every parking spot acceptable. Choose a stable, legal surface where the cart can be secured without blocking another vehicle or pedestrian route.

Build a repeatable legal route network

Use the county speed map to identify a small set of eligible streets between the property and likely destinations. A PTV may use eligible public streets posted 25 mph or less and must stay off sidewalks and bicycle paths. Save those routes rather than trusting a navigation app to understand golf-cart law.

Conditions change over a month. Road work, events and temporary signs can close a route that was previously usable. Follow the current sign or officer, then choose another verified route. Do not use a prohibited road because it is only one block or because another cart did it.

Fuel responsibly and keep the cart clean enough to inspect

The EFI Yamaha removes the nightly charging routine. The renter is responsible for fuel used during the stay and should follow the fuel grade and refueling instructions provided at handoff. Turn the cart off, keep passengers away from the fuel area and never smoke or use an open flame while refueling.

Salt air and sand are part of island life, but accumulated sand can hide damage and enter controls or moving parts. Do not drive on the beach. Shake gear before loading, wipe sunscreen promptly with an approved method and avoid pressure washing, solvents or unapproved chemicals.

Take a 90-second condition walkaround

With the cart parked and off, look at tire inflation and visible damage, lights, mirrors, seat belts, windshield, slow-moving emblem and the ground beneath the vehicle. Start the cart and note any unusual warning, sound, smell, vibration, steering feel or braking change.

This is observation, not DIY repair. Do not add fluids, change tire pressure, disconnect a battery, adjust a brake or authorize a third party to work on the cart unless Wavy directs it in writing. Upload a photo and description through My Trips as soon as a change appears. Early reporting often prevents a longer interruption.

Expect at least one plan-changing weather day

Keep the cart in the approved parking location when thunderstorms, flooding, high wind or extreme heat make operation unsafe. A cart canopy is not lightning shelter. At thunder, enter a substantial enclosed building or hard-topped enclosed vehicle and wait 30 minutes after the last thunder before returning outside.

Register for Glynn County CodeRED or monitor official EMA channels during the stay. If an evacuation is ordered, use legal highway-capable transportation and follow officials. Never delay leaving to return the cart; contact Wavy when safe and provide its exact location.

Use the dashboard before a small issue becomes a schedule issue

My Trips is the operating record for service, additional-driver requests, extensions and return details. Stop using the cart immediately for brake, steering, tire, fuel leak, collision, restraint or lighting concerns that affect safe operation. Wavy can triage the issue, document instructions and schedule service or retrieval.

Two days before return, confirm the pickup window and agreed parking location. Remove personal property and trash, refuel as required by the agreement, park, engage the brake and remove the key. Optional return photos create a useful time-stamped record, especially for a longer stay.
